Christchurch Meadow Tennis Courts

It's a nice and affordable court. However, it'd be nice if the stinging nettles around all the court could be trimmed down. It's easy to come in contact with them (like I did) while picking up the ball near the fence

Lovely courts in the centre of Reading, next to the river and a park with so many things to do. The atmosphere is much nicer than any stuffy tennis club as you actually get nice people playing and walking past. Avoid tennis clubs like Caversham and play here. You can get a membership for £40 for the whole year. Bearing in mind it costs £5 per time when you aren't a member, it only takes 8 times to have redeemed your membership. We have played everyday for the last couple of months so have saved probably hundreds of pounds.

A great facility provided by the Council the tennis courts are kept immaculately clean and well managed. However they’re hardly used in winter months due to weather conditions but very busy during the summer months.
